Never insult a man’s cooking.

In just two minutes you’ll know if A24’s The Lighthouse is for you.

Directed by The Witch‘s Robert Eggers, The Lighthouse follows two lighthouse keepers (played by Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson) who are stranded on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.

This clip comes from one of the film’s most intense and hilarious scenes after the duo has been stranded for an unknown amount of time. The two have grown increasingly frustrated with each other and Pattison’s character is sick of Dafoe’s lobster. He insults the man’s cooking, which sends Dafoe into a hysterical curse-filled rage that makes you wonder what would happen if he were to be sent even more over the edge.

The Lighthouse is truly “a nightmare at sea,” one that shows shades of Sam Raimi’s filmmaking prowess and carries the madness of Evil Dead II. See this immediately before it leaves theaters. If this clip doesn’t make you cackle with glee, don’t even bother.
